We have been here in Pattaya for less than 24
hours, yet in what many Americans might consider to be a backward
outpost on the globe, we are sitting in an Internet cafe in the
lobby of our hotel, drinking Heineken for around a buck a bottle.
Our connection is fast, a dsl, comparable to what you get in the
states. But the best part of all of this is the girls below
will be back here in less than an hour and a half. It will be
dinner, then a few bars, and finally back to the rooms with our lady
friends with us all the way. "It's up to you." This is the difference
between America and Thailand. The girls do not know how long
they will be with us or what we are going to do. That is up to PlOne
and me. This is not the way American and European women deal
with their men. But here, everything is up to us.
Here in Pattaya, there is a teeming mass of
humanity surging all around us. There are over 2,000
bars of all kinds and over 20,000 women who in other countries would
be considered working girls. Back home, and in Europe, men are
oppressed. It is time for all men who can afford the freight
to get off that battle worn war ground strewed with fat, angry women
trying to be men, and come to Thailand where women are content with
being women.
We have a new video, but no firewire card to
transfer it to the laptop. That will come later. stay
tuned. The Looking Glass is ongoing and we are smack in the middle
of a huge adventure.
