One of the most innovative and exciting developments in adult entertainment today are Pure Talent Agency's Feature Showcases. The concept is brilliant since everyone winds up winning. Which is all very well and good, but who gets what, and how did the last Feature Talent Showcase, held in March at Oasis Gentlemen's Club in Philadelphia turn out? For a club such as Oasis hosting the event is one of the best promotions available. There's the television coverage provided by the Strip Club network along with publicity in adult magazines which assign their photographers to the showcase, The club also benefits by being able to scout the best features for future bookings. For the feature entertainer performing in the event, there are excellent opportunities to meet the photographers who can get her significant magazine exposure. In turn the photographers get the chance to get to know and to photograph the established stars as well as the newcomers out of whom will emerge the stars of the future. Visiting club operators can enjoy the amenities of the hosting club while being able to watch and choose some of the hottest entertainers today for their bookings. For the agency, the importance of keeping up on their entertainers and to see how they perform cannot be overemphasized. And for the spectators lucky enough to get to attend, there's some of the most scintillating adult entertainment they'll ever see.
At the Oasis Wednesday night begins with the meet and greet. Most of us congregate in the Oasis VIP room lounge where the club has provided us with a buffet table and drinks on the house. The purpose of the Wednesday night Meet and Greets is for "everyone concerned" to get acquainted in a low pressure atmosphere. Unlike the next three nights there will be a lack of narrowly defined agendas such as showcasing 18 feature entertainers each of the next three nights or my shooting nearly 3.000 pictures. Example in pointthe tallish and shapely blonde who introduces herself to me in the club VIP room. Her name is Snow and she works for the club. Snow is interested in modeling, photography and getting a little magazine exposure. She's prepared to make a great impression having brought along a portfolio of attractive shots she had done with another photographer. It seems that at half these Feature Showcases I meet a live wire house dancer, who's interested in taking her career to the next step who's not too shy about meeting those who can help steer her in the right direction. It's this kind of girl Pure Talent is interested in. Which makes the Wednesday night Meet and Greets ideal for meeting hot prospects, out of whom will come the feature stars of tomorrow. Keeping up to date on the features benefits both the photographer and the agency. I already know about half the Pure Talent features and the other half I'm just starting to get to know. Shooting a few pictures in the VIP room gives me the opportunity to get used to some of the girls and to hopefully get them more at ease before my camera as well as to demonstrate how my digital equipment works. I'm taking informal pictures of some of the entertainers, several of them with Tucker, one of the owners, when word gets out that we will be going to one of the casinos in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Waiting outside are two limos, one of them rivaling a Greyhound bus in length. I wind up in the smaller one. First stop's our hotel. Unluckily, our limo's not stocked with alcohol. No problem. We head back to the club for vital supplies, then head out to Atlantic City to meet the others. After spending a couple hours in one of the casinos, it's time to head back to Philadelphia. The smaller limo remains behind and all of us pile into the train like party machine that will deposit us back at our hotel at 5:15 a.m. |
Thursday night opens with Leah Layne, the first of the eighteen feature entertainers to perform on the stage. A former MS. Texas and Exotic Dancer's Miss Illinois, there is hardly a woman alive who's got a body like hers It takes just sixty seconds to convince even the most hardened skeptics that this showcase is going to be spectacular. Leah never disappoints and neither does Brittany Love, who's co-mcing the event with Bat Man. My camera never fails to show that Brittany's one gorgeous woman with incredible eyes. Like Leah's her show is very high energy showing a true pro's consummate skill.

Two newcomers from Mobile, Alabama, Jazzmen Frost and Skye Madison are exciting flashy dancers to watch. |
Kelly Devine, Exotic Dancer's Miss Nude Maryland, a virtuoso on the pole, seems to float up there forever. But so does Mia More, another guru of the pole. |
Rachel Ryan, dressed in black, playing Morticia, the ghoulish Adams Family character, catonically stares at the customers who try to get her to smile. Doffing off her clothes, Rachel metamorphoses into a titillating fast stepping stripper committed to arousing the libido of every man in the house. |
I nearly drop my camera when Jessica Justice steps onto the stage as a nun, her eyes two blue orbs glowing demonically. "How does she do that?" I ask myself. |
One of the most outstanding performers is Carrie Bare, which is no surprise to me now that I've shot Carrie at a number of the Feature Showcases. I haven't seen a Carrie Bare performance yet that doesn't place her in the top rung at the showcases. But just as professional football and baseball teams have their "true characters" whose contributions to team moral extend beyond how many home runs they can hit, batters they can strike out, or touchdowns they score to their locker room wisecracking and off the court antics, Featuredom has its Carrie Bares who keep the rest of us laughing. |
Kaylee O'Toole, Kelsey Heart, Anthony Regan, Madison Rae, and Natasha Stone show why they are perennial crowd favorites while Ginger Hill demonstrates what happens when one mixes bad driving with a dildo on four wheels. My camera falls in love with another newcomer to the Pure Talent showcases, Brandy Morgan. |
Last but not least are Leslie Wells and Tristan Blue, performing a girl and girl as Deuces Wild. But the pair gets the crowd rolling with laughter performing as Elvis and his scatter brained adoring fan. |
Watching these Pure Talent features entertain is like taking a walk into the fourth dimension. Nothing you've ever experienced in a gentlemen's club can begin to prepare you for the awesome display of talent and showbiz to be experienced when you see not one, but eighteen feature entertainers in the same evening, three nights in a row. The agency, the hosting club, and the entertainers willing to produce an exhibition of such magnitude and quality are giving back to all of us a showcase that's unforgettable. |
