Illinois Clubs may be the Jewel of the Midwest according to the Jack Corbett Club Reviews for Xtreme Magazine
Considering I was writing for "Xtreme Magazine", an East Coast adult magazine, there's no way I would have written, "Illinois clubs are bar better than East Coast Clubs". But times have changed. Over twenty-five years have passed since I was writing for Xtreme. And when I wrote the article above which Xtreme Magazine and I passed on to the Exotic Dancer Bulletin. And I don't even live in the U.S. anymore. Because I've chosen to live in Thailand just 200 yards from Wongamat Beach in Pattaya. Where I've spent the past twenty years.
But now that I'm rereading Crazy Czech's book, American, huh, I'm going to finally come out with it. The Saint Louis Metro East Clubs of Illinois were the best clubs in the U.S. They stayed open the longest with clubs such as Platinum, PT's Sports, Hustler and Diamond Cabaret staying open until 6 a.m. on weekends. And as Crazy Czech contends in his book, nothing in the U.S. came close to the anything goes vibe the Saint Louis Metro East strip clubs provided.
