Tess of East St. Louis Club 64 by Jack Corbett |
Twice Jack Corbett had shot pictures for two different clubs, each of them in different states, and on both occasions someone had large prints made to put on the night club's walls. But when Jack saw the prints, he was disappointed. He had the camera. While other photographers had bought Nikon digital slr's that would shoot at 6 megapixels, at Club 64 he was shooting RAW image files that would result in 10.3 megapixel images. And the color? Well, let's just say that the color out of that Nikon D-1 X would blow these lesser Nikon cameras in the dust. Oh well--sometimes you get what you pay for. So just imagine what these pictures are going to look like at 20 by 30 inch print sizes? Tess is one of six dancers at Club 64 whose four by three foot backlit pictures could be seen from the interstate.
Now that Jack's in Thailand he still has his images done in the U.S. by the same company, then has them shipped to Thailand simply because he's not satisfied with less than the best.
