After his bar owner friend\u2019s wife had said enough good things about him, Big John started\u00a0 turning the charm on the massage parlor manager.\u00a0 Before long this nice Thai girl became Big John\u2019s girlfriend.<\/p>\n
Big John was visiting Thailand two or three times a year. Every so often he would have an Australian friend of his take ten thousand baht to the massage establishment which he’d\u00a0 give to Fun in an envelope.\u00a0 One time Peter took his Thai girlfriend, Noi, along.\u00a0 \u00a0Peter gave Fun an envelope full of baht.\u00a0 After the pair returned to their hotel room. Well let me tell you, Ding Dong was one clever Thai woman.\u00a0 She had a Thai girlfriend named Mai.\u00a0 Who was so short that Peter and his friends oftentimes called her Pygmy.\u00a0 Ding Ding had once forged a college transcript for Mai so she could get a job that required a college education.\u00a0 In reality Mai was dumber than owlshit.<\/p>\n
Mai who was with everyone that night.\u00a0 After all Ding Dong and Mai\u00a0 were best friends.<\/p>\n
Obviously it was below Fun\u2019s status to hang around with such people even though Ding Ding was probably twice as clever as her and Mai had a coveted university diploma from Chang University.\u00a0 That’s where they serve beer for the main course.<\/h3>\n
A few weeks later Ding Ding and Mai went to Koh Chang <\/a>with the guys they had been with at Excite.\u00a0 \u00a0Fun went also,\u00a0 but during the entire three day outing, she stayed away from the other girls, sitting at the other end of the resort\u2019s swimming pool or playing sick when everyone went snorkeling on a dive boat.<\/p>\nAll of this was too much for Peter.\u00a0 Getting Big John aside, Peter told him:<\/p>\n

Every time Big John would come to Pattaya for one of his two week visits, Fun would be called away from her job to visit her mother in Udon Nowhereland.<\/h3>\n
Which left Big John with an entire week to hook up with other Thai women.\u00a0 While he spent the remainder of his time with Fun.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile Fun had somehow acquired the money get her own house in Pattaya.\u00a0 Which Big John started calling the Big John and Mrs. Big John house.\u00a0 Then he started buying furniture for the house in the hopes of having a semi permanent residence here in LOL (Land of Lies).<\/p>\n
About a year later, Big John told Peter that Fun had to visit her mother.\u00a0 This suited him just fine because now Big John\u00a0 could have one week on his own while he spent the rest of his time playing house\u00a0 with Mrs. Big John.<\/p>\n
However, by this time Big John had started getting suspicious. So he decided to go to someone he could really trust.\u00a0 \u00a0To find out the real truth he hired a Pattaya policeman to tail\u00a0 Mrs. Big John.<\/h3>\n
He was still in the U.S. but within a couple of days he would be\u00a0 joining the gang in\u00a0 Pattaya.\u00a0 Which was all All the better to start his Thai girlfriend investigation.<\/p>\n
From the United States, Big John text messaged Peter, \u201cFun is right now where she\u2019s supposed to be.\u00a0 She’s on her way visiting Mama in the village.\u00a0 I have already started my Thai girlfriend investigation. My detective has her in his sights.\u201d<\/p>\n
That morning\u00a0 Peter and Pier were walking for exercise.\u00a0 And by exercise I do mean exercise because they would walk almost all the way to Jomtien and back along the beach.\u00a0 Pier,\u00a0 a rough Norwegian seaman, was Peter’s best friend mainly because he was the only Westerner around who was willing to exercise.\u00a0 This walk amounted to twenty kilometers. This took them three hours together as they laughed and talked together about just about anything they could think of.<\/p>\n
By the time Peter explained to Pier how Big John was having a Thai girlfriend investigation, Pier burst out laughing, and exclaimed:<\/p>\n
“Thai girlfriend investigation investigation my ass.”<\/h3>\n
We both know, Peter, what is going on. That Thai policeman has no doubt caught Fun cheating on Big John.<\/p>\n
I\u2019ll bet he\u2019s gone to her and told her, \u201cFun, you give me enough money and I\u2019ll keep my mouth shut.”\u00a0 \u00a0I’ll bet that Thai policeman will get money from both of them.\u201d<\/p>\n
By this time Big John was already in the airplane on his way to LOL (Land of Lies). Peter\u00a0 asked the other Australian, \u201cIsn\u2019t that Fun walking down the beach with that guy?\u201d<\/p>\n

But there is this Thai woman etiquette. No, it\u2019s far more than that. It\u2019s this Thai people etiquette that runs like a professional American football game. It\u2019s falang versus Thai and the Thais all band together against the falang.<\/h3>\n
So in the case of Fun having two boyfriends, the scoreboard read Thai 14, Falang 0.<\/p>\n
Ding Ding had been Peter’s live in girlfriend for over a year.\u00a0 Yet for months she had been quiet about Fun\u2019s cheating on Big John. Although she probably detested Fun for her haughty pretentious ways, Fun was nevertheless a Thai.<\/p>\n
No doubt Ding Ding probably liked Big John a lot. And who wouldn’t? Inside was the tall Englishman Peter had met on the beach a few hours before. This was an opportunity he couldn’t afford to pass up.<\/h3>\n

The place is like a Seven Eleven or Family Mart but it\u2019s smaller. But you can buy beer there, snacks, cigarettes, and just about everything you would normally find at a Seven Eleven or Family Mart.\u00a0 Back then there were a couple of tables and chairs in front of the place where some of the condo residents and their friends would often relax over beers.<\/p>\n \u201cHello,\u201d Peter greeted the man as soon as he walked inside.\u00a0 “I\u2019m going to buy myself some beer and drink it just outside,\u201d he added. \u201cI\u2019ll buy you one.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cNo. It\u2019s on me,\u201d the man replied. \u201c And I will join you outside.\u201d<\/p>\n Peter couldn\u2019t wait for Big John to return from getting his massage.
