Pattaya Second Road Bars return in this video, Lost in a Beer Bar

Video:  This video's ancient History but it shows what Pattaya used to be

 

Back in 2005 I was staying at the Skytop Guesthouse for two months. Then I pulled the plug and bought my condo on Wongamat Beach.  

The Pattaya Second Road Bars were plentiful and wonderful back in those days. 

But I think I actually shot this video back in 2004 using a Sony camcorder. Which was on its last legs and certainly no match for the Nikon D780 and Panasonic LX100 ii I'm shooting with now. 

But the Ireland Bar in the picture is just one of so many Pattaya Second Road Bars. There were two go go bars on Soi 2 which his virtually across from Big C. Then there was Noi and Atlantic bar in a small complex of six beer bars. Soi Six just off Second Road. And a large complex of bars next to the Skytop Guesthouse where I was staying. And a whole lot of other beer bars. But that complex where I shot this video was a labyrinth one could easily get lost in if one had too much to drink.

I took Sky with me to the labyrinth of Pattaya Second Road Beer Bars. There must have been at least thirty bars in that complex. Which resembled a cave in a way. I had met Sky on a small Soi filled with bars that led to Soi 7 from Pattaya Klang. 

Now this little Soi was just one block long. But Sky's bar was just one in its own bar complex. 

While Soi 7 was chock full of beer bars. And Soi 8 had just as many bars as Soi 7.

Those were terrific times back in 2004 and 2005. This video I hope will bring back many memories of how much fun could be had in those Pattaya Second Road Bars.
