Mali can't wait to play Dester at the Crazy Fox just two bars from the Pitstop. On her own she has ordered a dismembered hand, foot, and dismembered fingers. And artificial blood, a syringe, two plastic knives and a lot more to complete her upcoming Dexter reenactments
"To the Lake" is so good that I just had to have Silent Bob our DJ friend play, Teach me Tiger by April Stevens. I had never heard this song before Mali and I watched "it on the Netflix television series "To the Lake on Netflix. And when I kept hearing bits and pieces of it, being played over and over, I loved it. And felt, "Leave it to the Russians to find something truly noteworthy I had never found before. But when I first heard it, I thought it was a Russian song that had been dubbed in English.
It's great music. And I've been playing it in several bars on Soi Six and Soi Chaiyapoon. And when I am listening to it, I am thinking of my little secret. That very few Americans know about. Russian has a long History of great artists and some of the best classical music composers the world has ever known. Such as Rachmaninov, Rimsky Korsakov and Tchaikovsky. , Not to mention some of the most revered writers in the world starting with Dostoevsky and Tolstoy.

Particularly on Amazon Prime which has bought into a lot more original Russian material than Netflix. To call Russian movies and television shows good is a serious understatement.
Okay, so I have a lot more appreciation for Russians and video productions coming out of Russia than about anyone I know.
But what I did not expect was for Mali to be revisiting to the Lake as much as I am. She's Thai after all. And most Thais don't read lot. And they aren't likely to be listening to Rachmaninov either.
I keep trying to find internet web sites where I can watch season 2 of "To the Lake." While Mali keeps asking me, when is it coming back to Netflix?
But even now I'm finding out even more about this fantastic television production which garnered a perfect rating of 100 percent from Rotten Tomatoes. Only one hour ago, for the first time I looked up April Stevens on Wikipedia. And just learned that she died in 2023, She was 93 years told. Sop she was far from being the latest and hottest singer going. This kind of collaboration between American artists and Russian film makers is just mind boggling.
