October 4th at the Lumber Yard in Des Moines, IA--Death Match II (call 515-265-1019 for details) Death Match I was recently held at Big Daddys Cabaret at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. There Xtreme Weapons Calendar model, Dirty Heather went gunning in the wrestling ring for the home club's champion wrestler, Killer Chloe where she narrowly lost to the comely Missouri lass. In Death Match I her trainer, Krazy Ted, of "Looking Glass" Fame face got bloodied up in the ring costing Ted 27 stitches, Crazy Kathy, from Columbus, Ohio stormed the ring to grapple with Leah Layne, the referee and was carried out of the club by the bouncers, and Cloey herself was attacked from behind and pinned by her own team mate "Mad Macy. Leah, 1999's Miss Nude of Illinois inexpicably awarded the championship to Mad Macy and the crowd went crazy feeling Killer Cloey had been robbed. Rumor has it there will be at least four different matches here in Iowa for Death Match II where Dirty Heather will be trying to avenge herself.
October 9th-October 11th at Big Al's in Peoria, Illinois--Pure Talent Creme de la Creme Feature Showcase There should be around 18 feature entertainers, each showing off her stuff for three consecutive nights, Wednesday through Saturday night. This is some of the finest adult entertainment you will ever see. If you don't get that uplifting rush flowing from the pit of your stomach to your brain, you're not flesh and blood. The hosting club, Big Al's if we haven't sold you on this event yet, is the finest in the entire state of Illinois.
October 20th-25th at the Lumberyard in Des Moines, IA--Miss Nude World (call 515-265-1019 for details) With 40-50 entertainers competing for the Miss Nude World title this is one of the biggest credits a feature entertainer can aspire to. And this year it's going to be held at the Lumberyard here in Iowa? That's where corn is grown isn't it? Correct..but the Lumberyard is also one of the most impressive and friendly clubs you will ever experience. See why it's taking the Midwest and the entire country to new heights in adult entertainment.
October 29th-Nov 1 at Club Maximus, Wichita Falls, TX--MS. Texas IV It is time for yet another Texas epic here at Maximus. The title is a big one, just like the state itself. Last year here at Maximus, feature entertainer Montana Steele pulled a narrow victory out of the hat from defeat at the hands of Paige, one of the club's house dancers' whose performances were so spectacular one could never wish defeat on her, but then again, one could not want Montana to lose either. She won the crown on her birthday just minutes after the stroke of midnight. Months later, another Maximus epic unfolded before our eyes. And this time it was Mirage who had been Jack Corbett's 18 year old waitress six months earlier. Dancing for just six months, Mirage ended up victorious over a very competitive field including 7 feature entertainers. This time there will be even more competitors here at Maximus. Come meet the alluring Montana Steele as she gives up her crown--but to whom? A house dancer instead of a feature? Here the house dancers are terrific and stand a 50-50 chance of wnning all the marbles. And will the sensational Mirage take the field? If so, expect to be on your feet cheering your favorite entertainers on. It's going to be sinsational. (For more information call 940-761-1177 and just ask for Vic).
What is a Feature Talent Showcase? Talent Agencies will often showcase several or more of their feature entertainers at a hosting club which will benefit from the increased traffic the feature entertainers provide. These clubs are often club chains which can further benefit from the close look they will get of the visiting features some of whom they will book for their own featured events. Features typically pay their own travel and other expenses to these feature showcases, gambling that they will be able to line up roadtrips with the visiting club owners and managers they will be meeting and dancing for at the hosting club. So why should some of you housedancers be interested in a feature showcase? Simple...You will have the chance to meet the owners or chief talent scout of the agency close and personal. In the middle of November, 2001 I was Pure Talent's photographer at their Feature Showcase at Regina's in Springfield, Missouri. Ten to fifteen club owners showed up to watch the features perform here and every club made at least one booking. A house dancer from one of the St Louis Metro East Clubs followed me to the event. She was able to meet the owners of Pure Talent and the club allowed her to do a special set for them. Some of the Regina's house dancers interested in featuring were able to meet the owners of the agency and have special photography done both for the agency and magazines catering to the exotic dancing industry. This event will be covered in more detail in a later issue of the Looking Glass. My stories and pictures are now being published in both "Exotic Dancer's Bulletin" and "Xtreme Magazine".
