The Russian Dragunov snipers rifle was designed to fullfill an entirely different combat role that contradicted American tactical doctrine

Xtreme Magazine's Russian Dragunov snipers rifle page 1

My photoshoot of the model I'd shoot with the Russian Dragunov sniper's rifle was pretty comical however.  I had been shooting a feature showcase for Pure Talent at Big Al's for three nights straight.  And Vic was with me, providing several weapons to augment three or four I had brought with me.  Since something like 15 feature entertainers were at the feature showcase I had plenty of talent to choose from for my Xtreme Magazine models who would appear on the 2004 Extreme Weapons calendar Vic, Xtreme Magazine and I would soon publish.

I had already shot some terrific pictures of Arianna a del posing with an M16 at Vic's  rural Missouri home.   But Arianna had suddenly dropped out of the American adult entertainment scene.  So I had asked Carrie Barre to pose with the M-16.  While I had also talked Enigma into posing with  the  Fal battle rifle, (Enigma would soon share the prestigous Miss Nude World title with Denise Mulder, which might give you some idea of the quality of our models.)

But when Vic and I handed Kelly Taylor Vic's Russian Dragunov rifle, Kelly flat out refused to pose with it, telling Vic and me, "I"m not getting my pictures taken with that Communist rifle."  But when Vic and I held from and told Kelly, you will be posing with the Russian  Dragunov sniper's rifle or not be on the calendar, Kelly cooperated and did a great job as our model.
