Best in Pattaya yet for live music is The Blues Factory.
Here you have your choice between two bands, the Blues Machine and Lam
Morrison. First up, beginning at 9:30 p.m. is the Blues Machine,
headed by an American expatriate known as Snowman and the incomparable
Mary. Snowman's from Chicago whereas Mary is from the
Philippines. There's none better on the guitar than Snowman, and
as for Mary, just think Tina Turner. Mary looks looks Tina Turner,
with her hair dyed blonde and her skin just a tad darker than white.
Her voice sounds like Tina's. Her antics on the stage are at least
as energetic as Tina's ever were which makes her a one woman super
dynamo. Then there's two other members of this outstanding cast of
characters, both, like Mary from the Philippines.
Somewhere around 11:30 when the Blues Machines exits the stage,
Lam Morrison and his group take over. One night per week,
it's the Blues Machine from 9:30 until close. On another
night it's all Lam and his crew of diehard hard rockers.
If you like hard rock, Lam's the man. As for most of my
friends and myself, we prefer the Blues.
But don't take our word for it. Give our video a
test drive and see for yourself why the Blues Factory gets our nod for
having the best live music in Pattaya as your eyes feast on a
sensational Tina Turnerish, Mary, as she gyrates around the room and
captivates the audience to the unparalleled instrumentals from Snowman
and the rest of this outstanding group.
