Six foot four to Jack's six feet Chid shares the same blue eyes and zest for adventure. It all started over
twenty-five years ago at the Calgary Stampede when Jack was competing in the world championship rodeo
competition. More than one hundred riders competed here in Calgary, Canada, riders from all over the world.
Some of them rode bulls while others set out to tame wild broncos. Others entered the lariat competition. Jack
chose bronco riding.
There is a side to Jack that many people don't know about. Such as riding the fastest horses at a Wyoming
ranch chasing Moose through the marshes when he was seven. Or living out in the country near Staunton,
Illinois where his family kept two horses from the time he was seven. Or refusing to ride with a saddle from
the time he hit ten.
Out west he competed during the summers in local rodeos when he was in college and right after graduating
he decided to go for the big one......the Calgary Stampede. He didn't win. He wasn't the best in the world. But
while he was there he met a Canadian girl and had a brief affair with her. He returned to the United States. She
became pregnant with Chid. Jack then moved to another state and the Canadian girl couldn't find him. Jack
had no idea he was about to become a father.
For twenty-five years Chid knew nothing about his real father. For Chid, his step father was his real dad. Then
he found out and started looking around on the Web hoping he would find him. His search led him to the
Alphapro web site and to the Lost Angels chats. There he met Beater. Since Beater was already planning a trip
down to see Jack and his friends, Chid asked if he could drive Beater down.
Then...........there was a loud knock on Jack's apartment door. Beater and Chid had gotten there a day early.
Five minutes later they were all on their way to Dollies.
