Cao Dai Temple: Unique Vietnamese Religion

The Cao Dai Temple in Vietnam blends Buddhism, Daoism, and Confucianism into a modern faith by Jack Corbett

But don't ask me what Cao Dai preaches.  We went to one of Cao Dai's biggest temples  a few miles out of Ho Chi Minh City the long way to Chu Chi, and the whole thing was pretty impressive.  Significantly farther out of Ho Chi Minh City than the Tunnels of Chu Chi, we saw several wide avenues and an even greater number of buildings that are part of the Cao Dai complex whose members devote themselves to caring for the sick and old members of the Cao Dai sect.  This is not meant to be a book--let alone a chapter on the religions of the world.  But it's pretty big stuff in Vietnam
