Spot Bars Artificial Intelligence is no joke. With all this talk about artificial intelligence I felt I’d try it in my videos.
These two videos are identical except the second video demonstrates Spot Bars Artificial Intelligence
Let me explain that one. Normally I buy my computer software. When I can. But when I do video, I want the best video editing software my money can buy. Short of my getting bogged down with full blown professional programs that only movie studios such as Universal, MGM and Paramount are using. So, for years I’ve been using Cyberlink Powerdirector. Which Cyberlink now calls Cyberlink Powerdirector 365.
You will notice when you go to the link above that Cyberlink claims Powerdirector 365 is using artificial intelligence.
The good thing about renting Powerdirector by the year is one is getting constant updates. That add more features. Such as more and more background music in its latest updates. Only three days ago, Powerdirector 365 updated again. And when I updated it I was immediately prompted to try its AI powered background eraser.
I bought my latest and greatest Nikon camera just two weeks ago.
And shelled out a fortune just to buy the Nikon Z8 camera body. It has 45 megapixels resolution but that is no more than my Nikon Z7 ii had. The reason I bought it is because the reviews claim it focuses two times better than the Nikon Z7ii can. While I loved my Niko Z7ii I was not totally satisfied with the video focusing it did in dimly lit bars. I’m the kind of guy who keeps trying to elevate the bar when it comes to shooting video in bars. So, I had to the new AI background remover to find out just how well Spot Bars Artificial Intelligence would work out.
Cyberlink’s AI powered background remover is not only an interesting effect. It in my mind, adds a new dimension to at least some of my videos. Take Mali for example. Mali’s funny as all get out as you will find as you watch the later videos in this series. She’s cute and she dances well. But she also loves to sing. So, I had Mali attach a small microphone transmitter to her clothing. While attaching the receiver to the top of my Nikon and Plugged it in to override the two microphones in the camera.
Using this wireless external misophonia accentuates Mai’s voice and the voices of those around her. But the Cyberlink AI powered background remover takes this accentuation of Mali one step further. By blacking out the background and focusing in and out on the people around here it is clear that Mali’s the star in this video. While I think it also calls more attention to her voice as she sings along with the music.
I am using the following Nikon Lenses. If you are interested in finding out more about them, click on their respective links.
In this series of videos, I am using Nikon’s 17-28 mm 2.8 Z Lense. If you want to find out more about this lens, click here.
I often use Nikon’s 20 mm 1.8 z prime Lense. which like the 17-28 lense is a wide-angle Lense suitable for shooting in bars. There’s no zoom on it, however. Click here to find out more about this Lense.
Nikon 24-70 2.8 Z lens, twice as expensive as my two wide angle Nikon lenses, on paper it is by far the most versatile out of all 3 lenses. It’s heavier and longer than the two wide angle Nikon lenses. Therefore, more prone to breakage in bar situations where the tequila drinking is close and personal. Also, the additional reach at 70 mm is unnecessary in the bars I shoot video in.
