Grey Ghost compared himself to John Mosby the elusive Gray Ghost of the Civil War.

So what does Grey Ghost John Mosby confederate guerilla have to do with my book, Life of an Exotic Entertainment Photographer? Everything. It would be Scott Wagner who would build my first computer. Who would put me on the internet. Who would convince me to create the Lost Angels chat. And to use the internet to sell my first book, Death on the Wild Side. In this picture Grey Ghost is wearing the black shirt to the left. We are in the bar during the Exotic Dancer’s Las Vegas Exotic Dancer’s expo and all around us are adult industry professionals of all stripes. From famous feature entertainers, porn stars, and topless club owners. Not to mention professional adult photographers and writers such as myself.

Scott was in so many ways the living incarnation of John Moseby, Confederate guerrilla.

Like John Moseby, Scott Wagner was extremely talented, but nearly impossible to pin down except for those who knew him well. But you really need to read about Scott in my latest book, Life of an Exotic Entertainment Photographer which you can now buy at the lulu.com bookstore.

But like Moseby, Scott’s no longer alive. And whereas the John Moseby, Confederate guerrilla was called the Gray Ghost, Scott used Grey Ghost as his moniker. To many of his neighbors, Grey Ghost was a throw back to the hippies of Woodstock. And a real odd ball who wore his hair in a pony tail although he was over fifty. From the small form town of Waggoner, Illinois, Scott was still viewed by many of his neighbors as a drug addict who couldn’t even keep his lawn mowed. But his father was a World War II ace who downed over five German airplanes while flying P-47 Thunderbolts and P-51 Mustangs. But the real Grey Ghost was a man who conquered his drug addictions. And that is just one reason this latest book of mine is a must read for those who want to know what it takes to get off drugs.

Like, Scott, Doctor Doom had also been a drug addict. But both men were able to overcome their drug additions. Both of them using the same methods.

But I have to credit Scott, more than any other man, with my writing six books, while becoming a very well known adult photographer. Who set the stage for my ultimately buying a condo in Pattaya, Thailand. Because if it hadn’t been for Scott, I would never have met Big Daddy, or Sam Stimmel or all the famous feature entertainers I’d later write about in over four adult magazines.

But to fully appreciate Grey Ghost’s huge repertoire of talents and off the wall sense of humor you need to buy Life of an Exotic Entertainment Photographer.

I won’t rewrite the book here, but I will provide you a few samples of Scott’s awesome talent. Scott was a brilliant artist, an accomplished blues musician, brilliant web site designer who had a profound knowledge of History and a great salesman who among other things sold the Pure Talent Agency into having him to their web site work. This led to my doing a lot of photography of the Pure Talent feature entertainers. While traveling with the Pure Talent owners and their feature entertainers all over the U.S. But most important of all was Scott’s totally off the wall sense of humor which endeared so many adult entertainers to our group who shared the same totally whacked out sense of humor.

Here’s a small sampling of Scott’s work.

This and the cartoon images that follow are Grey Ghost’s cartoons of Boner who was in real life the abusive boyfriend of Nipples who was the foundation for my main character in “Death on the Wild Side”

This cartoon reflects Scott’s concept of the Lost Angel, the beautiful dancer who’s lost her way.
Scott’s concept of the abusive American male. I will add, that for me it captures the essence of the Republican party’s far right wing and its supporters.
Scott called the mouse on Boner’s shoulder, Squeeky. Who is Scott languese is Boner’s demented little brother.

John Moseby, the Gray Ghost of the American Civil War’s life is worth looking into for those who enjoy History.

Unlike other famous Confederate Civil War guerrillas, John Moseby was so elusive he evaded capture. This was not the case with William Quantrill who had a huge influence on Jesse and Frank James. Or Bloody Bill Anderson. The Union Armies eventually caught up with both men and they were killed. For that matter, Jesse James eventually met a bloody end. But Moseby? He was really something. The Union Army sent in their best to corner him. Men like Phil Sheridan and Custer. But Moseby was a lawyer and we all know how elusive lawyers can be. But once the American Civil War ended Moseby became a staunch Republican and ardent supporter of Ulysses S. Grant, his former adversary.
