Nikon Z8 Firmware Update: One hour Soi Six Marathon

This is one entire hour at Sweet Bar on Pattaya Soi Six testing any improved focusing after I installed the latest Nikon Z8 firmware

Our gang at Sweet bar after doing the Nikon Z8 Firmware Update
From left to right, Mew’s girlfriend, Mali Mew, Ninja, Mew’s friends from Finland.

So you can be sure this is the real deal. Because it will show you exactly what the Nikon Z8 camera can do in the real world. I will be editing this video to be sure. But other than putting a few fading transitions throughout the video, I’ve done nothing to it. Although I’ve adjusted the white balance a little.

Other than its larger, heavier and more expensive sibling the NIkon Z9, the NIkon Z8 is so fantastic that it can walk on water. Or that’s what most camera reviewers report. But I’m a hands-on kind of guy, and when I take my little girlfriend out at night, I’m going to do a threesome just about every time.

Threesomes, that’s for me, the little lady, my Nikon Z8 and me, and now that I’ve got Nikon’s latest and greatest Nikon Z8 firmware update installed I’m raring to go.

This video kicks off at Smoke and Kisses. Phang’s got a birthday party going, and since I’ve known Phang for over 8 years, I’ve gotta go. Phang’s already messaged me or called me at least three times. While Mew’s also been messaging me that she’s coming. Mew is Pattaya’s Dancing Queen. And not just once, but three times over at Nikky Bar. While Mali’s been my steady drinking buddy, and dances nearly all night long for my Nikon Z8.

But as soon as we arrive at Smoke and Kisses, the bar’s playing Da Da music, which is the digital noise I keep complaining about. All my friends hate it just as much as I do. And Gene will just walk out of a bar as soon as he hears it being played.

Mew’s supposed to meet us here at 9:30, but she’s still in a taxi at 10:30 and really hate the music they are playing here. Which is not like Smoke and Kisses at all. In fact, all four bars owned by the Smoke and Kisses owner very seldom play that godawful digital noise. The way most falang managed bars do. Mali and I both can’t wait to join Ninja at Sweet Bar, which he is managing. And you can take if from me, right now Sweet Bar’s the best bar on Soi Six.

I won’t tell you why we like Sweet Bar so much. I’m just going to have this video do all my talking for me. All 62 minutes of it. (Until I do a lot of editing and change this video with a much-improved version.

So why should you be interested in watching a 62 minute video that’s virtually unedited? There’s, two reasons. First off if you are a professional photographer or video guy, or just someone wanting to make the move to a Nikon Z8, you will want to see what this camera can really do. The second reason is, if you are interested in seeing that Pattaya bars are really like. Especially here on Soi Six, you will see what a Soi Six bar outing is really like for me and my friends. As I’ve already mentioned, this is the real deal. We are downing a lot of real Tequila, Thai whiskey and Jagermeister’s.

So, who’s in the video?

Mali’s in it of course. She’s the little fireball that gets things a going. Then there’s Lyle who will join us at Sweet Bar, but who will leave us around 11 or so. Ninja, of course. While Mew will join us around 11 p.m. With a male friend from Finland, and a very pretty woman who I’ve never met before. Mali will leave at 3 a.m. While I will still be at Spot Bar with Mew and her friend from Finland waiting out a ferocious thunderstorm until 4 a.m.

There are several real highlights in this long video that puts the low light focusing of my camera to the test now that I’ve installed the Nikon Z8 Firmware update.

For example, about halfway through the video Mali dances to the same song Mew danced to when she won 20000 baht for finishing first for Pattaya Dancing Queen III.

This is the song Mew danced to that helped her win 2000 baht.

So, Mali’s really impersonating Mew. But towards the end of the video, you will see Mali and Mew dancing to the same song together.

Then there’s the man who dances with Mali all dolled up like a lady. This was not an act that we contrived. The man just happened to be at Sweet Bar, and we, uh, just sort of took advantage of him.
