Pattaya Excite Disco, a blast to the Past, 2007, gone forever and there’s been nothing like it since.

Although the camera I was using back in 2007 was grossly inferior to the Nikon DSLs I am using now, this Pattaya Excite Disco just had to make it on the new Jack Corbett Video Channel. I don’t know about the rest of you, but this video continues to haunt me.

And the best part is you didn’t have to go to Alcazar for the great shows. And pay 600 baht each to get in the door. But those days are gone.

Back then I used to bring my little Canon camera into the bars. Even though I had a far superior Nikon DSL which I have replaced with even better and greater Nikons. The last one being the Nikon D780.

The Pattaya Excite Disco was a huge place where they did a lot of shows. And a great place to visit where one could encounter all sorts of people.

Back in 2007 I didn’t realize how to tell a lady boy from a girl. Still don’t, all the time that is. At the Pattaya Excite Disco you never heard the dancers talk. And it was pretty dark inside. So when I revisit this oldie but goodie I shot so long ago, I keep wondering–how many of those dancers were real ladies?

Back then Pattaya was full of great entertainment. Now in the wake of the virus it’s a shadow of its former self. Still, I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else on earth.
