Although I know most of you are watching my videos on your smart phones. I am now designing them to look and sound great on large screen televisions.

I jokingly call my condo “Jack’s Bar. So, it sounds like drinking is my favorite pastime. Which is not true. Because I love watching Netflix, reading books, and creating videos for my Jack Corbett Video Channel. All of which can be best experienced alone.

But now I’ve created and published over 200 videos. Which I love watching my own creations on the largest screen possible. Along with professional boxing matches, Netflix, and Amazon Prime. With the sound turned way up on my stereo receiver as I listen in through my eight-speaker surround sound system. As one of my Thai girlfriends told me last night when we watched Netflix together. “This is like going to the movie theater.”

Because Nikky is here with me tonight with two girls who work for her in her bar. All three women are used to watching YouTube videos on their smart phones. On small screens with itty bitty speakers.

Tonight, they are watching the Jack Corbett video Channel the way I designed it to be watched. On the big screen. With the volume turned up on my Yamaha stereo receiver. Which I am happy to share with them, especially since all three women are in a lot of the videos.

You will notice when you watch a lot of videos on my Jack Corbett video channel that there is a lot of variation in their quality. This is dependent upon how recently I shot the videos.

We could hardly stop Koy from cleaning my condo. This picture shows how well my condo living might compare to a theater in offering quality visual and audio experience to visitors whether they are tuning into Nefflix or my Jack Corbett Video channel.

I shot most of the earlier ones using Panasonic Lumix cameras. Which were great little cameras for what they were designed for. They were light and portable with excellent Leica lenses. These cameras were intended to be carried in a purse or pocket. So a lot of high-end quality was being sacrificed for portability.

In my quest for making constant improvement in my videos, I’ve rediscovered my love affair with Nikon.

That began when I was using a Nikon D-1 x shooting digital stills of American strippers and showgirls. And although I’ve been a loyal devotee of Nikon DSLR’s for over twenty years, I’ve found them to be too large to be tote them around in bars as my everyday equipment.

But nothing comes even close to a great Professional quality DSLR when it comes to doing the best photography or video. Especially in low light conditions that you often encounter in bars.

A pro grade or top prosumer Nikon camera has two microphones. So it’s going to reproduce excellent sound that can give me theater like audio out of my eight-speaker sound system.

While I won’t even dwell on the top-notch Nikon lenses, I put on my Nikon Z7ii camera body. And I won’t brag too much on my Nikon being able to shoot at 45 million pixels.

But tonight, all the effort and money I spent on top notch equipment has proven to be well worth it. Which you I can see and hear for yourselves. Especially if you can figure out how to can watch it all on your smart television.
