Well, not quite—but the energy she brought to the song sure made it feel like she did!

Mali took over Sweet Bar’s DJ booth for two hours, bringing the place to life. While her nod to Four Seasons was fun, it was her performance of Body Slam’s Feat that truly set the bar on fire.

The girls here don’t normally dance, but something about this song—the quintessential Thai anthem—changes everything. Even the most skeptical foreigners who claim to hate Thai music can’t deny its power.

The first time I heard Body Slam doing Feat, I knew immediately—voices like these don’t come from America, England, or Australia. These sounds are purely Thai, shaped by vocal cords unlike any other.

And yet, some Thai singers carry an unmistakable Western influence. When I first saw Mali dancing to Nina Pattayahama, I couldn’t tell where the singer was from. The voice could easily have been American.

It all comes full circle. When Four Seasons ruled the charts, their sound was otherworldly—almost unreal. Even today, I still play their classic hit Sherry on my music USB while pushing through my workouts on the elliptical machine at Centara Grand Mirage.

So imagine my surprise when I finally got to the bottom of it—this Four Seasons sound-alike? A Thai singer, after all.
